We continue to follow the matches of the Bahrain national ice hockey team. This season they are taking part in the Kuwait Ice Hockey League again.
After six group stage games, Bahrain has 10 points in the bank and takes third place in the standings. Kuwait Warriors leads the championship with 21 points, and Kuwait Stars takes the second place with 15 points.
The last two matches for the red-black ended with confident victories: on October 15, Bahrain beat Kuwait Camels (6:2), and on October 20 defeated Kuwait Mooseheads (7:2).
Sameh Hegazi, the team’s top scorer, currently has 11 points (4+7). The goaltender of the team, Abdullah al-Adha, reflected 92% of shots in five games.
Recall that in May of this year, several players of the Bahrain national ice hockey team passed the ADIHIC training camps at the facility of the Ak Bars hockey club in Kazan. After the training camp, the team won the silver medals of the second TATNEFT ADIHIC Cup.
