Recently it became known about an important appointment for the referees of the Ice Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan. 

David Prokofiev will work on the matches of the IV division of the IIHF World Championship in Armenia, which will be held from April 13 to 19, 2025. It will be attended by the hosts of the tournament, as well as the teams of Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and Indonesia.

David is the first internationally qualified referee from Uzbekistan. He received it in 2023 after working at the U18 Youth Championship in Kazakhstan. He has previously participated as a line referee in the 3×3 and 5×5 hockey categories at the Youth Olympic Games in Korea.
