Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan and Bosnia will host the IIHF World Cup 2024

This week, the IIHF 2023 semi-annual congress was held in Vilamoura, Portugal. The main topics for discussion at the congress were changing player eligibility, changing the format of world championships and determining the countries that will host the IIHF World Cup Divisions III and IV next year

Kyrgyzstan and Bosnia will host the tournaments of the third division of the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2024. The Group A tournament will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 10 to 16 March 2024 and the Group B tournament in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from 23 to 29 February 2024

Mexico, Turkmenistan, South Africa, Thailand, Luxembourg, Kyrgyzstan will participate in the Group A. North Korea, Bosnia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Iran, Philippines will take part in the Group B. The winners of the groups will be promoted to the upper divisions next year

Kuwait will host the tournament of the fourth division of the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2024. The championship will be held from April 16 to 19 in Kuwait city. The national teams of Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Kuwait will take part in it. The winner of the stage will be promoted to Group B of the third division next year
