The Kazakhstan national youth ice hockey team has been eliminated from the top division of the IIHF Junior World Championship. In the play-off match, the turquoise-yellows lost to their peers from the German national team (3:4).
At the Junior World Championship 2025, which is being held in Ottawa this year, the national team of Kazakhstan competed in group B. In the group stage, the team managed to take only one point, losing in overtime to Slovakia (3:4 OT).
According to the results of the tournament, Kirill Lyapunov (forward), Aslan Zhusupbekov (defender) and Vladimir Nikitin (goaltender) were recognized as the best players of the Kazakhstan national team.
